Thursday 24 January 2019, 5.30pm – 7.30pm
St Mary at Hill, London, EC3R 8EE
On Thursday 24 January 2019 , the City Friends of Voices of London will be hosting an entertaining “Bite-size Burns” in St Mary-at-Hill in the City, from 5.30-7.30. This gorgeous church, in the shadow of the Monument, was Sir Christopher Wren’s first. In its wonderful space, we will enjoy a medley of Burns-inspired music from choral professionals, and a combined youth choir of Highbury Young Singers and the Choristers of St Mary’s Merton.
You will also experience all the Scottish enchantment of a Burns experience, including the Selkirk Grace, the Address to the Haggis, the Immortal Memory, the Toast to the Lasses and the Response, stripped down to three-minute frenzies for the busy City bee.
A Scottish night out would not be the same without free-flowing drinks, plus Burns-inspired canapés, including 2018’s famed Haggis Balls, exclusive to Bite-size Burns.
At the event, we will be announcing the 2019 Voices of London Festival programme.
